Welcome Letter From Michelle Korsmo

Welcome to the 2022 National Restaurant Association Show! We are thrilled to be back together for the industry’s largest event.

Some of the events I’m most excited about are:

•    Keynote Session with Alexis Ohanian, Founder of Seven Seven Six and Co-Founder of Reddit (Today, 2:00 pm, Grand Ballroom, McCormick Place)
During this session, Ohanian will tap into his vast knowledge of today’s new business realities as he addresses many of the disruptions that are changing the future of business and how they will translate to the foodservice industry, including crypto currency, web 3.0, and historic social and cultural shifts.

•    Diversity Matters! Groundbreaking Research Makes the Case, MFHA’s Roadmap to Inclusion Shows the Way (Today, 4:00 pm, Education Super Center - South Hall – 2778)
New research reveals there is a huge disconnect between company’s beliefs about their DEI strategies and their employees’ experiences, and the bottom line is that if diversity is not a priority, they will leave the company. Explore the Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance’s new “Roadmap to Inclusion Best Practices Guide,” to help build and strengthen your DEI initiatives.

•    Workforce Day (Sunday, All-Day, National Restaurant Association Booth, #6600)
The National Restaurant Association and the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation offer programs, training, and benefits to help operators recruit and retain employees. Health care and wellness services for employees and families, skill enhancement certifications to earn higher pay, curated training for candidates reentering society, opportunities for returning military, food safety training, and pathways to business ownership are just a few of the programs we offer. Join us on Workforce Day to learn more.

On behalf of the National Restaurant Association, we thank you for being here and for your commitment to the success of the industry.

I’ll see you on the Show floor!
