Jarmel started her hospitality career by bartending to help her obtain her degree in biochemistry. She spent many years in hospitality management throughout Chicago. In 2015, she joined the Alinea group seeking something different. Ultimately, she fell in love with the science behind the magic. After expediting for a year and bartending in The Office, she was promoted to Assistant Bar Director in 2017.
